Profusely illustrated with hundreds of color photographs. CONTENT WARNING: Some photographs in this book may disturb sensitive viewers. Many of the photos contain nudity, and MANY OF THE PHOTOS ARE CLOSE-UP DETAILED IMAGES OF DISEASED GENITALIA (obviously, I can’t post those photos here). Overall condition of book is Good, although the binding has split somewhat in 2 places, one towards the front and one towards the back of the book, however the book is still intact, no pages are falling out or torn, some care should be taken when handling this book, see photos. No post-publication marks or inscriptions. I had to remove the ISBN because it was making Ebay automatically fill in erroneous information which I could not edit if the ISBN remained in the field for it. The ISBN is 0-8016-2465-7, and can be seen in the photo of the back cover of the book.
“Patmos Treasures of the Monastery” is a comprehensive art textbook published in 1988 by George A. Christopoulis & John C. Bastias. The book showcases the religious history and artifacts of the ancient monastery on the island of Patmos in Greece.
Patmos: Treasures of the Monastery, published by Ekdotike Athenon, is a richly produced visual and historical survey of the Holy Monastery of Saint John the Theologian on the island of Patmos. This edition is valued for its production quality and for presenting material rarely accessible to the public, making it a strong addition for collectors of Byzantine art, Greek history, or monastic studies.
